Volunteers: Apply online now!

If you are a Rutland youth aged 16-22 and want to dig in the dirt and do good this summer, please join Rutland Volunteer Garden Service!

As a volunteer, you will get to know new people, provide a very important service to homeowners, and have a lot of fun.

This is an unpaid position. However, volunteer work is an important part of a person's job skills training. Having such work on a resume shows that you are not only reliable and multifaceted, but that you are a caring person. That can go a long way with employers and colleges!

What is RVGS?

Our mission is to:

provide Rutland youth with a positive, challenging way to serve their community and gain valuable work experience;

provide Rutland gardeners with competent, reliable help planting and maintaining vegetable gardens;

give Rutland youth a chance to get to know their neighbors;

grow healthy food; and

in so doing, make Rutland a healthier place to live.

We are recruiting volunteers aged 16-22 to help make this mission a reality. To apply, please email Kate at rutlandgarden@gmail.com!
